Dr. Carlton Fenzl

Dr. Carlton FenzlEye Surgeons Associates welcomes Dr. Carlton Fenzl in 2015. A recent graduate of the University of Utah Moran Eye Center fellowship program, he specializes in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery. He was born in California, but spent most of his childhood in Tampa Bay, Florida. He received his medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine and attended New York Medical College Jamaica Hospital for residency. Dr. Fenzl is up to date on the most advanced cornea and refractive surgery procedures including penetrating keratoplasty (PKP), lamellar corneal transplantation (DSAEK, DMEK, and DALK), and corneal cross-linking (KXL). He is also proficient in standard and complex cataract surgery including toric and multifocal lens implantation as well as sutured intraocular lenses. Dr. Fenzl has published numerous papers in peer reviewed journals as well as recently presented papers at the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ASCRS) annual meeting and the New York Academy of Medicine. In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis, hiking, and biking.
