Dr. Wymore continues our 2020 celebration by adding a second piece of artwork titled “Visual Spectrum Abstract 4” now hanging in the lobby of our Bettendorf clinic.
Dr. James Wymore, who specializes in general ophthalmology, has been with Eye Surgeons Associates for about 28 years. Outside of the office duties, he has dabbled in drawing, painting, and writing. His colorful piece, entitled ‘Visual Spectrum Abstract 3’, is displayed in our Rock Island clinic lobby. It was painted to help celebrate 2020, a year of significance for eye doctors who strive for good vision, 20/20, in all their patients.
Dr. Wymore typically designs larger scale works with acrylics, emphasizing texture and color. While he did not have formal training, artistic endeavors caught his interest first with pen, and later with acrylic paint.
“It’s fun to create things just for one’s own experience,” he says. “If others enjoy it too, so much the better.”
