ASK A QUESTION

If you have an eye issue/medical concern, that needs attention right away, please don’t leave a message. Call any of our offices during office hours or our after hours number (563) 328 - 5103 for immediate attention or go directly to an emergency room.

Frames

When choosing eyeglass frames, you'll have your best luck with two basic tips: something bold attracts attention to a facial feature, whereas something neutral de-emphasizes a facial feature.

Keep in mind that some frames may look fabulous on your best friend, but not on you. If you have a wide face, smaller frames may amplify this feature. If you have delicate features, large frames may make you look like an owl.

Your prescription may determine the kind of frame that may be appropriate for you. If you are extremely nearsighted, you might have unattractive distortions in your lenses that will show up in bigger frames. If your frames are too small, you may lose access to side or peripheral vision.

Consider the color of your hair, eyes, and skin before you select frames for your eyeglasses. In general, yellowish skin tone is considered "warm," while bluish skin tone is considered "cool." Softer, understated colors may be appropriate for warm skin tones, while darker, bolder colors may work for "cool" skin tones. You can also consider the more neutral, rimless glasses in lieu of obvious frames.

You can receive a discount for ordering two pairs of spectacles at the same time. Materials for sunglasses are basically the same as for regular glasses, except you now have the chance to make a bolder fashion statement with frames and tints.

Eyeglasses do more than help you see better - they add to your image and personality!

ESA Optical has a wide selection of frames at affordable prices.
