Title: Fresh look on life Author: Krista Doy My name is Krista and I recently turned 30. At first I was truly dreading being out of my twenties, not due to the number aspect, but due to all of my unfinished business. At a young age we plan our lives out and somewhere along the way life happens. I took a lot of detours in my life and just recently realized that 30 is my new twenty. I need to look at life with a fresh pair of eyes and learn from the past, but focus on the future. It would be amazing to finally graduate law school this year and have a fresh look and start on life. I am your typical broke college student who has worked full time all the way through to pay for tuition, which eliminates any funds for eye surgery. This surgery will help in obvious ways such as studying, driving back and forth to Iowa City, participating in water sports, etc. along with ways I can not yet imagine. To sum things up, this is my year to start finishing things I left undone and unaccomplished all these years and start chasing my dreams. I want to be a federal agent when I finish law school and it would be wonderful to go through the physical training without wearing glasses. It would also be nice to have 20/20 vision when being licensed with a gun (ha! Ha!). I hope this contest provides the fresh new look on life that I am so desperately looking for.
